    I have the current version of Play Store installed but it still won't accept my google password when I try to buy an app. It says " an error was encountered, try again". I've tried a million times, no joy. Anyone else run into this? I'm successfully logged into the play store so it takes my password for log-in

    Do you have 2-way-verification activated? It does not work with modded PlayStore.

    I am also having this issue with in-app purchases. Any ideas? Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Cobalt apps, but no success.

    No unfortunately I never found the solution, I've been buying apps on my laptop and installing them to the phone, but I can't make in-app purchases.

    So can you detail what you mean by this. Are those two separate apps to install, Google + and the. whitelist? And what do we add to the Whitelist, the Google + app? I never found a solution for this and cannot buy anything in Play Store or make in-app purchases. Thanks

    One app with 2 different versions.

    In any case, the whitelist won't help anyone here as the play store is not accepting anything requiring the password function.

    Try deactivating the "Require Authentication for Purchases" feat if you wanna see for yourself.

    Google dropped the old auth method and now only allows authentication via Google Play Services.

    Procedure to fix this issue:

    1. remove Google login 4.3.3
    2. Install Google Play Services
    3. Install Google login 4.4.4
    4. do login in Google login

    Cobalt, I have to try and see which version of Google log-in that I have. My question is which app is considered Google Play Services, I only have your original three apps from the first post installed. Is one of those called Google Play Services? I have never been able to buy anything in Play Store because it won't accept my password

    OK everyone having this problem with their password when trying to make purchases, install the Google Manager Log-In app 4.4.4 from Cobalt's file share page. Delete the 4.3.3 app first. You also have to have Google Play Services installed. But everything now works. I can finally make In- App purchases!!!
