Probably requires Google frameworks not present in the BB10 runtime.

Works on my Z30. Snap is better.

How? I thought the Nokia X doesn't use the Google framework. Or is this a modded version?

I too find Snap to be the most stable app. It's also Native BB, which is awesome!

I couldn't get it to install either, my guess is it requires frameworks that aren't available.

Good point - I suppose they could be doing something funny that locks them to that platform or something. Or those apps could just be using apps which use one of the few APIs that the BB10 Android runtime doesn't support.

Or they could be doing the old Microsoft deal where they code things into the software specifically to do different things on competitor's platforms.

There are native BB10 apps in BlackBerry World that use Nokia Here map data.

thanks.. could you please help with paid apps in BBW for maps very much offline and also an app for call recorder that records the voice of both even when it is not on speaker phone mode... these 2 things are missing for me.. I tried extreme maps from NeMory.. but they aren't good at all... just a web interface it seems...

The one I came across recently which uses multiple map providers including Nokia is "Magellan Compass Maps", another that uses Here maps is "Xtreme Maps Pro". (Is that the Nem0ry one?)

As for call recording - never have seen a legit app for BB10 that works without speakerphone - it's a limitation of the OS. Apparently BlackBerry did not want to make it easy for users to be sneaky with phone calls.

The Nokia store doesn't require Google anything because Nokia forked Android from AOSP.
Nokia do ask devs to modify their apps to better run on Nokia X phones.

Android is the OS, Google Services are the bits Google add to the Nexus range and ask OEMS to use if they want Google Certification.

Yes it is by nemory.. he didn't update it after the first version. Sad.. wasted my money.

Magellan compass maps pro is offline based? All maps data on SD card or internal and battery optimised for navigation?

I'm not a fan of that developer, personally.

Just read the BlackBerry World description.
