So new gplay services was launched last night and it doesn't give an error when installing on my device like previous versions. Os1925 z10-3

Time to start downloading things that require it see what happens.

Installed bit I'm finding every time it is called upon in crashes haven't tried to install play and services yet. Maybe that is part of it... will report

Hmm I was able to get to the play settings screen with some quick fingers but no one is fast enough to do anything with it. But I have to say it's a small step better than last time I tried.

Interesting with this installed play no longer force closes but displays play services has committed suicide. But stays open and tries to load again and goes round and round.

Weird because i just tested it myself, but it was crashing, so i had to delete it from my Dropbox account and then i saw you had success with it. anyway, i pulled one using SNAP and patched it. it works without crashing. here it is com.google.android.gms-4034536

EDIT: i have reuploaded the first one for those who wants to try it out. Since BigBadWulf had success with. here it is com.google.android.gms-4.1.31 (965943-30).apk

Weird! They keep getting smaller.

The last one worked enough to get location services going on Maps, but no go for Groupon. I'll test this one now.

I was able to download from all three links, but none of these were able to install. However, they appear to have at least updated; oddly the second link in the thread is apparently the newest/most recent. Still not working with apps, although Maps says I'm signed in (same as before).

Still just working a smidge better than what I already had. Groupon continues requiring Google services be installed, and opening services goes as far as initializing, then poof.
