You only neet the two files in order to get notification from the hub to show up on your smartwatch 2. However even on Beta 4 the trial period has ended so unless you set the system date back on your device manually the only notifications you will get are system notifications. I found the developer on facebook and he said he would release an update soon. Here is what he posted on facebook:

"i plan to release it as open source on gitlab under the GNU General public license but am currently very busy with my job. Hopefully somewhere next week"

I finally got everything working correctly on my sony SW2. The only problem is that the trial is expired and will not send any emails or text messages to the watch from the hub or anywhere else. Only system notifications come through. I spoke to kwasi76 the creator of wearable companion on Facebook and he assured me that he would release another version of wearable companion sometime this week. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

As far as I am aware of it wont work with Android wear devices and dont think there are any plans to make it so.

Yup. I ended up returning my Moto360 and buying a SW2 on ebay. Besides the Moto360 battery life was horrible.

No. No matter what you do you cannot install all of the the programs required to run the Galaxy Gear. Even if those programs are patched it will not work. I have tried on my Gear 2 and Gear S to no avail. Only watches working right now are the Pebble and Sony smartwatch 2. and some others like the Vivo Smart but I dont know to what capacity. Until the developer of wearable companion releases a new version without the trial limit, the Smartwatch 2 is working in limited capacity also.

No. The galaxy gear watches use different software which isn't compatable.

I just committed an new version which is the same as Beta 4 but has an extended trial period till 05/31/2015.

I was wondering if the Galaxy gear was working on the null rom, not tizen, would it work? Null is basically android, and it allows the gear to work with all android phones. If we get the apk for the gear manager and install it on the BB like we do other android apps, would it work?

Brilliant app.. Works with my garmin 920xt.

But. Bit of advice needed... When the phone rings via a incoming call, on my watch I get only one vibration and notification is too short.

Can I increase the notification time?

Could you please share how you made that working?
I have a Garmin Fenix 3 but I can't get any notification.
It's strange, but without these apps I get notifications of incoming calls, but without sender name...
