Hey, no problem! This is a APK request ONLY thread. There are multiple ways in getting these APKs converted. You can either use the following two sites:
PlayBook .apk to .bar converter
APK to BAR Converter :: Android APP Store – Blackberry Playbook & Z10, Q5 and Q10 Apps

Or you can use the debug token method which basically gives you a better chance of getting the app to run properly utilizing native code with most of its permissions (http://forums.crackberry.com/android...erry10-817781/ ) There is an APK to BAR thread: http://forums.crackberry.com/android...thread-766811/ if you feel the need to ask Lendo to have these converted for you.

Attempts to upload didn't work; said cannot determine package ID. Is there some way to create the BAR with longer/clearer identification?

Not sure what you're getting at here. I've just converted the same APK using the debug method and using the two available sites and sideloaded it with no problem, the app works as well. Let me know if you need more help. I did hear something about an error Android users were getting from the Google Play Store.

I'd like to try this one, simply because it will supposedly allow me to rotate the display on my Q10 while it's in the cradle.

Alternatively, if anyone up north (Canada) has this installed and would extract the .bar file from their Q or Z and post that (since it's a free download in BBWorld that we can't get in the States), I'd be most appreciative.

This app requires Android 4.0+, so unless you have a 10.2 leak installed, the app will not work.
