My first BB+Android UX - BlackBerry Aurora
Hi BlackBerrians. I fell in love with BB ever since the BB9000. Currently, I have reverted back to BB10 (Passport) after been using the iPhone 7 plus and Samsung S4. I have always been eyeing to go back to BB but I needed apps for work.
So the latest to come out was the BB Aurora, bought it and tried it out for a day and got rather confused especially with the BB Hub which I have always been a fan of on the BB10.
It's double the effort to keep things organised such as
1) setting up accounts on the Hub and on the apps itself
2) getting double notifications on both the Hub and the app
3) emails appearing on both the HUB and Gmail app itself
4) although it's Android stock and without the 'bells and whistles' of annoying and undeleteable Samsung's apps (as on my S4), the UX just didn't cut it for me. (I gave up exploring to address these issues and to those who may have, please leave ur comments to guide BB+Android users)
So that was it. Back into the box my Aurora went.
Again a reminder, that I'm a hardcore BB fan and I thought BB+Android UX would work for me, but it didn't. I don't see these 2 ecosystems, which should be unique in blending and flowing seamlessly for the same UX we get on the BB10 and I'm pretty much convinced that the UX wud be the same on the Keyone (was eyeing on this as well)
Now that @Jole uploaded to youtube a method to get Android apps on BB10, I felt liberated and switched immediately back to BB10 Passport, installed all my much needed apps and been loving it all over again especially with all the apps on Google Playstore at my disposal.
Here is a list of all my BB devices over the years.
9000,9700,9320,9810,9900,9981,9982,Classic,Passpor t,Z10,Q5 and Aurora. And I still have these devices until today. Crazy right?
Lastly, I would like to THANK Cobalt for making it happen for all of us BB'ians.
