Has anyone had a chance to use the Android communication Hub that 's available on Snap ( which I assume makes it avail. on Google Play Store)? If so How is it? Is it a viable competitor to BB's Hub?

The BB10 Hub is tightly integrated with the OS and includes notifications from a number of sources including calls, voicemail, messages and email accounts. The description for the Disa Hub says it's beta version software and only mentions contacts and messenger services.

Why would anyone want to use a third party Android app to do what your BlackBerry device does by design? Sounds to me like someone with far too much time on their hands!

You presume too much. Suppose someone is just curious to see if it works in comparison to the BlackBerry hub in case they would like to recommend it to Android users?

And with the upcoming new BlackBerry devices running on Android, just in case BB chooses to go with plain Android & you gotta pay for BlackBerry Suites?
