I've successfully side loaded .bar files using the chrome plugin without issue. However, I'm having trouble finding a .bar file for the "Simple" app (http://www.simple.com). I know how to convert apk to bar using many of the tools out there on the web, but I'm not quite sure how to get the apk file from the google app store. Thanks for any help!

By the looks of it, that's by invitation only. I don't think you'd be able to find it on any public repository.

I did get invited. Hence why I'd really like to use it.

While I realize Simple itself is invite-only, isn't the app available in the google app store? Or can it only be downloaded by someone that was invited? If so, would you mind letting me know how can I go about getting the apk from the google app store without an android phone? Thanks!

I found an apk from January online, and just tried converting it using apk2bar.org. Then I installed it but it's failing:

Figure I'll ask one more time if this is hopeless or not Really would like to get it converted and would really appreciate any help!

Failure -9 refers to https://developer.android.com/refere...ERVICE_INVALID. You can try to disable problematic library dependencies, though the app may not function as expected. Or it may, YMMV. See: Sideload Apps that use Google Maps API with this APK hack! - BerryReview
