[The Big Picture]

I've been trying no end to get this working but can't seem to get IG to sit running in the background. It's very frustrating. I am using 10.3.1 on a Passport and nothing seems to get them going despite getting plenty of notifications form other apps.

Are you using the latest version from snap?

I'm running Z30STA100-2/10.3.1.1949 now.
Let's see if I still get notifications.

Done autoloader and so far I've only reinstalled the Cobalt's 3 apks back to my device instead of the 8 apks.
We'll see how it goes and we'll keep U guys updated.

Hey... I got notification back...

I thought I lost notifications. I installed the 3 from Cobalt's play store working apks.
And notification didn't work.
And then I deleted ALL 3.
And last night I installed ALL 8 apks from Cobalt's landing page.
And this morning I got IG notifications.

I think installing ALL 8 apks works. Something that have to do with the combinations.

I'm waiting for another like so that I can screenshot it.

The whole thing.
Including play store downloader.
With no specific order.
I've tried installing according to the Cobalt's landing page order but couldn't get thru coz there's no Google account option in 'Setting > Accounts'.
So, I just install all those and key in my Google account id where it needs.
Which is in the play store app and Google id app.


*edit: some of them are redownload from Cobalt's threads.

You can get all those files from cobalt's threads. I hate to sound like such a skeptic, but I think it's purely coincidental anyhow. I had all of those apks installed and didn't get any notifications.

The steps I did is in the zip file as well. If it didn't show up, this is the steps.

This is what I did.
I installed everything in this folder.
And try to register everything in that order.
There are 3 places to log in ID according to the apks order in the list.
1. Cobalt.blackberry.androidID (logged in with existing Google ID)
2. com.google.android.gsf (failed to log in into existing ID. Skipped this)
3. com.android.vending-5.1.11-buy2.apk (Google Play store. Logged in with same Google ID)

And then installing the rest of the apks in the same order. Try to replicate these.
Hopefully it works for you guys.

It could be coincidental, but I managed to get IG notifications working on 2 different OS.

And on the second OS (which is the current one), I went Autoloader and log in everything from scratch. Not even restore (fully or partially).
Downloaded Instagram from Play Store after I did the first (failed) 3 apks install.
Then I try the 8 apks install before I got the notification yesterday morning.

My IG won't even open up, I've downloaded it from Playstore and SNAP. Bad luck both times.

Opened up my IG, looked under push notifications....all the options are either you let all of IG contact you or people you follow. *sigh*

Let's see if this apk posted above works!
