Most android apps do work. Those that don't work are usually the once that require Google play services. If you come any that work, do post about it in this forum, and someone will surely try to help out.

I've loaded a few app via apktrain.com but it doesn't seem to have all of the apps that I'm looking for - is there another source?

Yup. It's a 5 minute sideload which will save you hours of searching particular apps in the future.

OK. I've tried to side load Google Chrome. It just displays a white screen at launch. I'm running BB10.2.1.2120.

Android browsers on BB10 won't work... not until 10.3 comes atleast.
