Or just use Sachesi to remove the two Amazon bar files. Although they will reappear after rebooting, they won't be activated until you run them. Tuck them into a junk folder and they are completely inert.

You can uninstall AMAZON APP by following steps. Go to settings select Security and Privacy, select Parental Controls and Deselect AMAZON APP.

Parental controls do not remove an Amazon store app but will hide it and prevent it from running - essentially turning it off. Previously assigned permissions are removed.

When you turn off parental controls, the apps return. The plus is that they are not active. You have to tap on them at which point they ask for permission to take over your phone and your life. As long as you deny that initial permission, the apps won't work. Once you give that permission, there is no way to deny it without again going through parental permissions to get the apps deactivated once more.

No success with this method as well. When I attempt to uninstall phone screen goes off and comes back with app still showing on screen.

Do the parental controls and keep it that way, so easy.

On my Z10, I can close it from Settings => Device Monitor => CPU => long press on the app => Close.

It will stay closed until you open it or use an app that calls it, or until you reboot.

I do the same with all Android apps I don't use. The only thing you can't close is the Android runtime itself, unfortunately.
