So guys I am from across the pond and returned to BlackBerry after a 10 year break. Can you tell me how to get these apps that depend on Google serves up and running?

1. I download the GMaps Patcher to my device but ever time I try to run it after unziping the file it gives this error "unable to open GMAPS Patcher v1.3.1"

search for cobalt's landing page and read the first post, follow instructions..... (the gmaps patcher had to be installed on your pc....)

^^This exactly.

It's "Lucky Patcher" - an android app - that runs on your device.

But, they both essentially do the same thing. Gmaps Patcher is a little better at patching some apps that Lucky Patcher just can't.
