Go to the first page and read the section about GMaps patcher by Cobalt. Then either download the Gmaps patcher program or Lucky patcher
Again thanks to Cobalt and friends
I asked the very same question a few days ago.
And someone else asked several months back in this same thread.
No one seems to have an answer why this one app just won't display the map.
I get a blank map screen too. Yet, I can see the "Google" name in the bottom corner. The actual maps app is loaded. I have several other apps that I patched, and they show the map just fine.
I had to go and re-load the old one from Amazon. It works okay - I get a data connection error when it first loads up - the dialog box has the options to "exit" or just "ok". I hit "ok" and it proceeds to open just fine with connection - even able to log in. But it always throws up that connection error message every time I start up the app. Yet, it continues on and works every time anyway. Don't know what that's all about.

Try Lucky Patcher on your phone. It's better in some degree.
Z10STL100-1/10.3.2.798
I tried that first and it said nothing to patch..
Here's more context:
The app works however I would like to use the maps features within the app.. my understanding is that the patch will help. The funny thing is that initially it output a patched file but when I tried to sideload it I receive this error "Install com.aritronix.ride.android-patched.apk: failure 500 'Package-Id'" ..
But, instead of trying to install it from the device I deleted it and tried to re-patch with alternative options and haven't been able to successfully rebuild an apk since.. :S
Lol, that's not how you "sideload" an Android app. Open an apk on your phone = sideload apk
Posted via CB10
True.. next time I guess.. but come'on if you already on the pc you might as well just sideload from your pc.
Too bad it can't be done lol

Ahhh success!
So basically, I decided to use the terminal version: gmaps-apk-patcher-latest-win.zip (v3.0.1) and it signed no problem.. dropped the files on device and installed.
@alaviss didn't make the same mistake twice.. :D

I think my problem also nearly same...

How can I fix this error.. ??

You need to either install Java or make sure you have the app pointed at the right location for where Java is on the options tab.

Make sure it is Java 7, apparently Gmaps Patcher won't work with Java 8. It worked fine on my laptop until Java updated to 8, now it doesn't.
Now to figure out how to uninstall 8 and reinstall 7.

Hi,
I got successfully installed the different .apks to get google login, Playe Store and the Play services installed.
I patched some appes successfully to get them working with google maps.
But there are two things I still cannot solve and I am not sure if it can be solved or if this is a known limitation.
I am using a Blackberry Z30 with the latest OS10.3.xxx. I have an app "Runtastic Pro" which I used on my old android phone. I can install it on my Blackberry but then no google map is working. So I uninstalled the app, used the Gmaps Patcher 1.3.1 and patched the version. After that I tried to install the APK again but after clicking on "Install" it take am few seconds and the the installation aborts with "App could not be installed" but no further hint what the reason is.
First question:
Any suggestions why this app cannot be installed after it was patched?
Second question:
Is it normal behaviour that patched and unpatched android apps cannot send push notifications?
Missing google maps and push notifications are some of the major things I am missing when using android apps und my blackberry.
So I would really appreciate your help and suggestions. Perhaps there are other apps on the blackberry market which can monitor the android apps and create some kind of "notification" ?
Thank your very much for your help and - of course - for your hard work you did on all this BB and android stuff!
I really appreciate that!
I have Gmaps Patcher running just fine with Java 8 Build 45 just fine. You only need to point it at the new location for the build in the "Paths" tab. For instance mine is located at, C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin\java.exe
