I have a stupid question - so should I be installing the app onto my phone and then transferring it to my computer to apply the patch???

    thanks

Its not a stupid question. Yes when you find an app you need to patch downloaded onto your phone...But Don't Install It. The file is now in your File manager. Plug your phone to your PC and patch the app (Be sure to delete the old file after patch) then drop it back to your file manager and install.

Do you have a Z10STL100-1? If so, you may be out of luck. GMaps and YouTube seem to have issues with that device.

No, even I uninstalled the same and then installed fresh.

If possible could you please share the patched version of Google map

Just patch on your PC with Play Services Patcher 1.4 (final - not beta). Use default settings. Works perfectly.

Hi I installed the same from snap without patching.

Before android global releser it was working fine, but now no

Earlier I used unpatched version and it was working fine.

I wouldn't recommend using snap. Use Cobalt's patched version of the Play Store, download Maps and use Play Services Patcher to patch the app before installing it and you should have success.

Does anyone know if Skype check the executables checksum? After patching I cannot login.

    It works fine when patched.

Just whitelist the unpatched app first.

One nice to have feature would be if one could batch patch many files at once or at least open many files at once.

Conite: All other apps works fine but for unknown reasons Skype doesn't let me login with the patched binary.

Just point the path to the exe file, not just the folder. The path must end with ...java.exe
Files in Linux don't use extensions so the java runtime would simply be named "java". Only Windows uses .exe

However, it seems that your app has .exe hardcoded in so it can never locate Java when running in Linux under Wine.

Uber does not need to be patched, it works just fine as downloaded. Uber Driver needs to be patched though.

@cobalt: Any plans to open-source the AutoIt-script around apktool so I can debug ape's that cannot be rebuilt?

You can debug by using apktool directly on the apk. The problem with rebuilding is always related to apktool.

so the patching / patches is not open-source I guess... Any plans to upgrade to apktool 2.0.3 soon?
Would be nice to have an OS X version as well. Didn't get it working with wine 1.9.x. :-&
