Sir, I was wondering if you can help me get the Iridium Go app to work ob my BB running 10.2. It won't install. It's a free app and I am not sure why it won't install. The other half of the suite Iridium Mail works perfectly. Could you kindly provide some assistance and insight?

The error I get when side loading is: failure 500 'Package-Id'

It seem like you're trying to side load it like a .bar file. Android apps must be installed from the phone by opening the apk

I did try to install it directly thru the phone using Snap but it won't install. The phone will try to install it but it will kick it out.

So I tried to side load it without luck as well.

I guess this means I may end up having to buy an iPod to use with the iridium go after all.

Yes, the App is for the Iridium satellite network. There are 2 apps. One the Iridium Go (phone and text) and Iridium Mail (email and web). The latter loads and works no problem. The Iridium Go does not.

Bad news: This app doesn't install (you already know that) and it doesn't throw any errors in the log that would help to find out why it fails. Sorry, but no luck with this one.

GMaps Patcher 1.3

We have a new version 1.3 of GMaps Patcher. The download link in the first post has been updated. Thanks to Sally Mack for the testing and valuable feedback during the beta testing phase.

Changelog:
- New: Uses APKTool 2.0.0 RC3 for decompiling and rebuilding
- New: Finds and removes android:signatures entries in AndroidManifest
- New: Verifies MinSDKVersion and changes to 17 if required
- New: Integrated app downloader that downloads packages from Google play
- Change: reworked detection strings for Google Play dependencies (Google Mail etc.)

Instructions:
At first run, you should press the new 'Update Framework' button in Options. This will replace the existing 1.apk framework in your home directory with the latest version included in APKTool. This will add more compatibility with package decompilation/compilation.

To use the new package download feature you should first use the checkin feature in GMaps Patcher. Then enter the name of the package that you want to download, i.e. com.google.android.gm for Google Mail.

Example of package name extraction from Google Play:
