One thing I noticed is the compatibility of some apps I have installed.
For example I got an app installed called Satellite Director. It works flawless, but shows as not compatible. And in a search it won't even show.
I got it through Snap. Is there a way to circumvent that somehow?

BlackBullet is working as a native client for PushBullet, I just tested it now, so i guess now no need to patch PushBullet

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get the RocketMan .apk working. Using this method or another.

I'm able to run the majority of Android apps thanks to this patch and other methods. But no luck with this one. I'm also aware there is a native BB10 version of this app. But it pales in comparison to the Android one.

My first view report:

My apps didn't appear on "installed" instead appeared at "all" with "installed" sign next to it if I installed it on my z10. And yes its appear as "your device is not compatible...."

Thanks for your report (of course I was aware of the result ). This demo basicly proves, that it is possible to modify com.android.vending to be able to login to the store.

The main issue we have is, that com.google.android.gsf doesn't generate a valid GSF key. In truth, it doesn't generate a GSF key at all. This key is used almost everywhere in Google related apps to identify the device. So the fix is to inject a valid GSF key at the right places to make it work.

This sample injects a GSF key I generated with Snap. The key is hardcoded into the package. It also emulates some answers that the vending api requires to let us see some content of the store. I still have some issues with injecting the key in some places, the country identifier and more.

I'll try to figure out how this all works and then we will see, how far it goes.

Do you have Google Login services and Google Play services installed?

I too getting the same error. Play store opens and then crashes. I have play services installed. link for login services?

@cobalt and or Sally. Is it possible to post the Google login and play services apk you use. Because the combination I have seem to have some conflicts.
For example, if I install the login services only Google maps can access my account, see "my places" etc. But when both are installed it gives an error saying can't log into my account. (I think this is with a version 3.xxx of play services).
However there is another play services apk which is a version 5.xxx I think. This cannot be installed with the log in apk installed. Either 1 can be installed individually but not together.

Mine happened to be like that at first nut then I reallize I still have the old Google play store still on my devices. So I tried to uninstall it 1st then install with the Cobalt new play store. Dunno whether its pure my luck or I did really good job there.. hahaha, compliment for me

Patched, loaded and installed Weather Bug apk, along with Google Play apk. Works fine. On Weather Bug, there is a "radar" maps section, which when I click to play, says "update to google maps is required..update" Clicking update, closes the Weather Bug app. If I tap outside the "update" prompt, works fine. Anyway to get rid of this "update to google maps required?"

Google login services hasn't changed for quite some time. You can find that by searching this thread.

Which version of Google play services works best is subjective, and may depend on which os you have installed. So long as you have a patched version from this thread, it should do.
