That's a known issue. There is no known way of login into Quiz up even after patching.

Not sure if I have done anything wrong but I have just installed Garmin smartphone link using your above tutorial
and it seems to work ok but the satnav keeps turning off if you could give me any suggestions as to why I would be greatfull it only turns off when connected to the phone (Z10) if the phone is off then it is ok.

And there is a new patched Google Play Services APK that includes MAPS API V2 key injection and some major bugfixes.

This version includes:

• Patch for enforceCallingOrSelfPermission exception
• Patch for SignaturePermissions exception
• Patch for Google Maps API v2 key injection
• Patch for SecurityException thrown because of spoofed signature
• Patch for GetAccountsByTypeForPackage exception
• Patch for GetApplicationRestrictions exception
• Patch for GetUserRestriction exception
• Patch for AppOps exception

Google Play Services should now be more stable and not throw exceptions (crash) all the time.

I did not test this version on 10.3 but it may work with the new patches. Maybe somebody can try to install it?

Cobalt, I must say, you are a genius of a kind. This Play services works perfectly on 10.3.0.296 with android runtime from the 10.3 SDK. Thanks for all the hard work you continue to put into this project. Much appreciated.

Just to let you know, I tested the 'Google play services test version' you posted a few days back, and was constantly crashing, but this one works perfectly. Thanks once more.

I just wanted to mention that Tripadvisor requires specific patching to work. Here are the required steps:

1. Run the patcher with the option to pause
2. When the patcher pauses, go to \tmp folder and change the following line in AndroidManifest:

Change this:
<provider android:authorities="@string/GLOBAL_TRIPADVISOR_SEARCH_PROVIDER_AUTHORITY" android:exported="true" 

To this:
<provider android:authorities="com.tripadvisor.tripadvisor.GlobalTripAdvisorSearchProvider" android:exported="true"

Save the file and then press OK in the patcher and let it rebuild the package. That's it.

Can't find the option to pause in the newest version of the patcher. Can someone be more specific on what to click, etc.? Thanks in advance!

Not yet, but I'm working on it to implement all patching logic into that patcher. I will release a new version of Google Play Patcher later this week.

I DL'ed this, deleted Google Play services, did a hard reboot, but when I launch this fixed APK it doesn't seem to install anything. It initializes, then opens, but doesn't put a Google Play Services icon on the screen where I used to have the icon, or anywhere, for that matter. Is this the expected behavior? Also, Uber still doesn't work -- anyone figure out that problem?

Yeah, Quiz Up sadly works in the sense that you can run it, but no amount of patching will fix the ability to actually log in and start playing. Sadly that one is outside of our control.

I'm more than happy to go above and beyond when helping (there are quite a few members here that can vouch for this), but I often catch myself writing snarky comments, then deleting them before posting (and sometimes just posting them).

Try to help yourself first, before asking others for help. I get that some things are buried in this thread, but then there are others like the fact quiz up can't be patched that is practically found in every page of this thread.
