I have a question: i dont understand if this versione patched of Google Play Services allow to use Android app that need of Google Play Services installed ( such as Groupon, etc.) without use a specific apk file patched of the app.

We need to patch Google Play Service so that they can run on BB OS 10. The App that requires Google Play Services must be patched to accept the signature that the modified Google Play Services have been signed with.

Therefore it's always a combination of patched Google Play Services and patched App.

Hope this helps.

Edit:
Maybe I should mention that Google Play Services are only patched once and not for each app using it. So the pre-patched Google Play Services fits all apps. This just to clarify.

You are correct and therefore we have a new build with version v0.8 that fixes the problem.

Changelog:

• Fix: IFTTT now correctly patched
• New: New option in advanced settings to toggle removal of maps permissions (only use if standard doesn't work)
• New: The included Google Play Services are updated to the latest version 4.3.25

I ran patcher v0.8 on YouTube version 5.6.35. I installed the patched apk and the included Google Play Services version 4.3.25.

The patched YouTube app runs a short time and then it closes with message, "unfortunately YouTube has stopped."

The error persists after I have redownloaded the YouTube apk, redownloaded the patcher, repatched the YouTube apk, rebooted my phone.

Update: the app error also occurs after I patched with the v0.7 patcher.

No need to patch Gmail. So long as you have Google play services and Google login services, it should work.

Can Candy Crush be patched?

No... google play services dependency doesn't seem to be why it's crashing. I tried a few things that have worked for other apps, but no such luck with candy crush.

Having trouble navigating threads. Will this patch work on Red Cross Tornado app? It requires Google Play Services. I found the apk for Google Play Services with naive thought that it might work. App obviously needs location info for live tornado alerts.

Sal, I looked into this app. It's an APKTool problem. Failure during recompiling due to missing resources. Nothing we can do. Sorry for this.

Ok followed instructions. Patcher ran and said done. But no file in output folder.

Also, do I need to have certain options selected on the Options tab? Default is just decompile resources.

Please check option debug, patch again and post the log from patch window. I then may see what's going wrong.

But anyway, I found out that the patcher will force to use Maps API v1 when patching. This results in the shelters not being displayed. I patched a special version for you that fixes the problem.
