Hi all, I downloaded Dolphin browser from Amazon App Store onto my Classic but want to uninstall it. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this. How can I uninstall this app, rather than just delete off the homescreen?

There's no difference between "deleting" and "uninstalling" an app.
There are two ways, which have identical results. The first is long press the home screen icon, then tap the trash can beside the icon. The second is via Device Monitor. On home screens, swipe down from top of screen and select Device Monitor from the Quick Settings menu. Select Storage tab. Find the app in the list. Long press it and select Delete or just tap it and select Delete from bottom bar.
On occasion an Android app doesn't completely clear. After deleting, you can perform a device reset to completely clear it. Hold down top key and do not let go. Ignore any onscreen countdown or options. After the red LED flashes on then off again, release the top button.
There is also the apk file you originally downloaded from Amazon Appstore. Amazon Appstore is pretty good about removing it by itself after installing the app, but you can double-check here in File Manager:
Device / misc / android / Android / data / com.amazon.venezia
To delete/remove a downloaded app from the Amazon app store.
1. Open Amazon app store
2. Press on the amazon logo at the top left hand side of the screen. Menu opens up.
3. Look for and press on MY APPS.
4. Top of the screen you will see CLOUD - DEVICE - UPDATES
4. Under the device tab, look for the app you want to delete/remove.
5. Long press on that app (not on the icon, long press on the words).
6. Select Yes to remove app or cancel not too.
7. The app is also still in the CLOUD tab, so you would want to do the same steps to remove there also in order to have it completely removed.
This is what I have been doing. Hope this helps.

Thanks both for your help. I did have to delete the apk file with device manager, even after a reset.
