Ok so maybe I'm misunderstanding what headless means, but i downloaded saavn, it's kind of like songza but with more international music, and installed it using the new method to install android apps. I noticed that when i open the app, start a song, and then close the app, the song keeps playing and a notification appears in the hub telling me what song is playing!

Bad thing is, i don't know how to stop or shut down the app! I have to either re launch the app from home screen, or from the hub notifaction, pause the song then close the app! And to tell you the truth, im not even sure if it's actually closed!

I'm monitoring using battery guru to verify if it is open or not still.

You will need an android app that can be used to force close apps running in the background. I recommend 'Ghost Commander'. Download it from here http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/78977

Yes ironically Android apps have always been able to run in the background in the Android Runtime environment.

From what I see in Ghost Commander, select "Applications" from the main menu, then select "Android System" then you should see a "Manage" icon, select this then you should have a "Force Stop" button. Of course this will stop ALL apps running in the runtime, but should do the trick. I don't have any that I know of to test with.
