Saving apk' is currently not supported. Remember: The original Play Store doesn't have that feature either.
You can install Ghost Commander after installing an app and open "Applications" in the left pane, then scroll down to your app, tap and hold and select copy and copy it to a folder to your liking. Then if needed you can patch the app, uninstall it and reinstall the patched one.

Cobalt this works like dream on my 10.2.2 OS Z10. This is the first time it works to install an app, not just browsing the Play Store! You need to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize!

Thank you Cobalt!!!! However, I'm curious to know if the apps that rely on Google Play Services are supposed to work? I tried using CityMapper and Starbucks app (store locations) and it tells me that I need Google Play Services......

    Am I doing something wrong????

    I'm using a BlackBerry Passport running SQW100-1 / 10.3.1.1151
They won't work any better / worse than if you downloaded them via snap or any other apk downloading tool.

This strictly serves as a vehicle to download and install apks. If you want to enhance the functionality of these apps, you should check out cobalt's other threads on these topics.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL CRACKBERRY FANS AROUND THE WORLD

    Welcome

Long time it seemed to be impossible to install a fully functional Google Play Store on a BlackBerry device. Those days are over. I proudly present the Google Play store, with all the bells and whistles (well not all, but almost all).

    Features:
    • Browse your favorite apps, games, movies, music or books
    • Buy apps, books or music
    • Download and install apps, also paid ones
    • Get refund for paid apps

I had to rewrite potions of the downloader code in Google Play Store, as it uses features of Android DownloadManager that are not accessible to 3rd party developers. The downside of this is, that you can not download apps that have OBB files, but hey ho!

    Downloads

    Google Play Store 5.1.11 (buy/download/refund)
    Google Login 4.3
    Blackberry Google ID 1.2

These links are on Mega. Downloading is easier if you first install the MEGA app on your device.

    How to install

    • Install Google Login and then add a 3rd party Google account in Blackberry settings. Do NOT try to start the Google Account app and do NOT login from there as this doesn't work (you'll get a server error).
    • Install Blackberry Google ID and then do a checkin
    • Install Google Play Store

Open Google Play Store, browse your app and press the install button to download. If it is a paid app, you can directly buy and then download it. You can even get a refund if you don't like the app.

    FAQ

Does this work on any device?
All testing was done on a Blackberry Q10 with OS 10.3.908. Owners with OS 10.2.1 may just have to try if it works.

What happened to Google Play Store Downloader?
The Downloader app is no longer required, as Google Play store now can directly download from the store. If you want to continue to use the Downloader, you can use the SHARE button in Google Play Store to invoke a download in Play Store Downloader.

Are you logging my account data or stealing my money?
I believe I have quite a reputation here on Crackberry and I don't want to lose it, so NO data is logged or transferred anywhere else than to the Google servers.

    Is this legal?
I honestly don't know. Google won't care, as we now can buy apps from Google Play. Blackberry may be kind of unhappy though.

    Is this all for free?
I spent hundreds of hours to do the reverse engineering of all this stuff, patching it, rewriting code and doing the testing. So if you really appreciate my work, I would be happy if you donate a few bucks. But it's up to you.

He's talking about the mess on the CB10 app first post. You have to actually open that thread in the browser. The CB10 is unable to decipher these posts.
Or use the CB Android app .

So, it's just like 1Mo and Snap allowing us to install (and purchase) android apps directly from Google? But still won't run Google services such Hangout, Youtube, etc etc.. not bad.

    Good job and Merry Christmas!!
