    Congratulations Simon! That is a great achievement.
    When I first saw the Passport in some article I made a bee-line back to CB after a five year absence. I started reading threads and book marking those that related to BB10 generally, Passport and Android Apps specifically. Your threads were among the first book marked and read from beginning to end. It is your work that convinced me that coming back to BlackBerry was not going to be a win/lose decision but a win/win. If I can't get what apps I need from BB World I could supplement with Android apps as a last resort, even a first resort.
    Keep up the great work and dedication. You will keep BB10 alive longer than it would survive without you.
    Again, thank you and congrats.

    So does it work now? if not, you should do this:

    Download Blackberry Google ID 2.4-DEBUG
    http://homepage.bluewin.ch/simonsmit...-2.4-DEBUG.apk

    Then:
    1. Remove old Blackberry Google ID from the device
    2. Install the new DEBUG build
    3. Run Blackberry Google ID, go to the about menu in top right, scroll down and enable the option "Google debugging", then return to main screen.
    4. Hit the checkin button and wait until you get a success/error message
    5. Go to Blackberry FileManager, then to device, then to download folder. You should find a file called checkin-log.txt

    Send the file to cobalt232@bluewin.ch or post it here.

    You makes such a spectacular work there because having installed Play Store is so comfortable.
    I still like more supporting own BB apps over the App World but having access to every android apps makes everything... I don't know how to say, anyway it's really useful you feel a more consistent experience maybe, we are the only OS in the world that can have apps:
    -From App World (BB)
    -From Amazon app store ( Android)
    -From Google Play android too as well as aptoide ect... we have 2 world combining in one, it's so nice

    We ( all Crackberry users) are equally happy as cobalt for this great thread and personally I wish it become even more popular. I see many enthusiastic users willing to try out your experimental (Beta) versions and some advance tips to make the app working and share.

    Please keep posting your advance tips and tricks, so other active users can help in your work and make this thread the greatest. If you think, that may confuse some users, you can link it to your own website.

    Thanks again for all the work.

    cobalt232, i have idea. everyone want to donate to you, but some people don't have paypal. why you don't create application like "donation to cobalt232" and post it to playstore and add some in app purchase like "donate $5, donate $10, donate $25, watch ads..." they can use carrier billing to donate to you. 😀

    I'm on it. Meanwhile turn ON your Wi-Fi. The error occours, because the MAC address returns a null value (which I did not expect, as every device should have a MAC).

    This problem is because you don't have the latest Google Login app installed.

    Remove existing Google Login app, download and install Google Login 4.3.3 from post 1.

    I believe the new fix that I implemented into the Google Account app 4.3.3 solves some authentication problems.

    Blackberry Google ID 2.5 now available:

    Changelog:
    Fix: At last fixed the nasty bug that some of you encountered if checking in without wi-fi (NULL error). Thanks to Herman, Eyad and Stoyan who sent the logs and did some testing before the release.
    Fix: If you try to check in and Google Account manager 4.3.2 is installed instead of 4.3.3, the token permission is now correctly fetched
    Fix: Logging of the checkin process is now a standard feature. You can turn it on or off in the about menu (default is off). The log is saved to device/downloads
    Fix: Updated and optimized code

    That NULL error was really a nasty bug. It didn't not occour on all devices and it only appeared if the following conditions where met;
    * wi-fi is off
    * no default wi-fi access point is configured

    This caused the android runtime to return NULL instead of the actual MAC-Network Address, and that's why checkin failed.

    Well, all fixed now. Enjoy!
