OK I loaded the GP Services 7.5.74 build 2. Now with that the Services app did load onto the passport unlike where the app from the playstore would not install. I opened up one of the apps and things seem to work but I still get this message..."Google Play Services, which some of your applications rely on is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance." So I guess that means there may be some function(s) within the app that will not work properly? Is that where the "patching" needed for the app comes in?

The patching of an app removes the signature check, so that my modified Google Play services are accepted as a valid framework.

Apks cannot be sideloaded. Get the Apk on the device and install right from your device.

You need OS 10.3. You have OS 10.2.

how do i upgrade? i have tried checking for updates using my phone. but it says its up to date. the current version is 10.2.1.

Looks like your carrier did not rollout 10.3. Go and grab an autoloader from the forum. There are plenty of threads about how to upgrade. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I occurred the following problems, no fault of your posting.

Problem 1: Using a link from older posting takes you to the most recent page if using CB app. With 100 plus pages the app does not have a function to go to first page of the thread. When I typed the URL link for Google Manger I got errors for the link. Had to use the browser and type the URL for page one of the Google thread.

Problem 2: I had was I had to manually install the downloads and any android apps that were not updated. People having this problem will get the error not installed.

I had Google Play store and Android apps running smoothly on my z10 (10.3.1.2576) but all of a sudden, since Saturday the android player refuses to load up upon rebooting. So I can't use any of the android apps now. None of them would run. it looks like the Android Player loads to 80% and stops there every time. Help please. Thanks in advance.

I also had trouble with this. Down load from the link. Then manually load it on your phone. There should be an icon for all 3 apps if it is loaded. Then log on with your Google ID.

Install by reading first post.
Identifying apps that require patching is easy. Install it. If it won't run and displays a message stating play services is required then patch it. Also install Cobalt's Whitelist.

You just install the apk file provided in the first post. You don't actually open or run the app, once installed it just sits in the background, that's all you need. The apps will tell you services are required in a pop up message when you open them, when that happens uninstall the app, patch the apk file and install the patched version.

I did it!!!!!!!!!!! It now working perfectly @scrannel thank you so so much.... got my phone restored and it working like boom!!!
