Was anyone able to get the Android Runtime fix from BlackBerry world to install?
Hello, Mr. Cobalt. I have a little question. Do you have any plans to do "cobalt's google apps manager" like you do for your prepatched blackberry's apps? It will be so helpfull and awesome! Thx!

I got the Play Store installed and can install apps but when I play them, I get the following message: "This app won't run without Google Play services, which are missing from your phone." When I click on the link 'Get Google Play Services' at the bottom, it opens 'Google Settings' but when I click on 'Install', I get the following message: "Unable to install this app." :-( Can anyone help? Thanks, in advance.
Maybe I will do that some day.
Today I installed successfully facebook mention app but when I try to open it crashed again n again...and other android app working well

Has anyone successfully downloaded either of these apps with this method? Starbucks doesn't even come up in Google Play on my Z10. I finally found the latest version on another apk website, and it works until I try to do Mobile Order and Pay, then the location function makes the app crash.
Ibotta shows up, downloads no problem, and shows my account. But when trying to locate the rebates, it gets stuck.
They both say they require Google Play Services. I thought I downloaded that when going thru this post, or one of the other posts about Google Play. Anyone?
Did you patch it? You need to if you haven't. Also it might only work for certain parts of the world, yours might not be one of those locations.
Not sure why my 1st reply didn't post.
I did download the patcher zip file, but my Z10 wouldn't run the .exe file. Have not tried it on my laptop yet. I have Vista and it seems like the browsers are abandoning that OS, so idk if it will even be worth my effort! Figured I'd see if anyone had done it already and wanted to share :)
Also I'm in US running 10.3.2.556
Cobalt, Now 2016, but there has been no update from you

Chill bro, do you know all this it's for free right?
The new versions don't really bring anything new. Will patch again when new features get available.
Like that old saying goes, if it's not broke... don't fix it. Just enjoy what's working and when when significant update comes along you'll hear about it.

Na I go with the saying "if it ain't broken fix it till it is"
You must be an engineer, right? That's called "testing to failure" I believe, haha!

I did it on my Passport and was crashed... I had to reboot after every 3 minutes because the phone stopped working.
I had to reload the OS.
The Android runtime can't crash the phone. It's sandboxed.
Cobalt ,
I have installed everything that is been described there..but i am getting the follow message when i open the app.
Google play services ,which some of. Your app rely on ,is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for further assistance

Did you patch the app with Play Services Patcher on your PC, and install Cobalt's modified Google Play Services? Go back and read the first post again the link to patching is there.

Are these download links currently down? None seem to be working for me.
EDIT: Got everything to download using the Chrome browser (which I normally never use) but for some reason all the links return the message "network unavailable" using the standard BlackBerry browser. Anyone else having this same issue?
