So today I decided I was finally going to update the cobalt apps in order to try Hangouts.

I went through the list installing in order. Everything worked until I got to installing Play Store 6. Previously I had "5.7.6-cobalt-build". Version 6 is not logging in and says to check connection (which is fine, tried WiFi and Mobile data with same result). I even restarted and tried again.

I figured well, let me try version 5 that was working before and now that one does the same thing.

Did I do something wrong?

By the way, Hangouts works well, signs me in and I can chat and all. Have not tried completing a video call, but it makes them.

Remove all 3 apps. Install all new files from post 1 and follow instructions in post 1.

I did that before, but this is your masterpiece, so I went and uninstalled all cobalt apps and just did these three and so far so good!

Going to try to put the other ones back on now (whitelist etc).

Looks like you tried to install an unpatched version of Play Store before you found this thread.

The only way to fix that is to do a security wipe.

Hi guys

I've never had issues updating the Google Play store.

Today I had to reload and reset my device.

The first two files installed successfully and my I'd was registered.

I can't install the Google Store (step 3)

I get the following:

Note I have allowed for apps from other sources to be installed.

I deleted the downloaded file. I then opened the download link in my browser and tried again

Pleased to say that it then loaded OK and all seems to be working.

Where did you get those files from? They are completely outdated.

Uninstall all 3 files and download the latest 3 from post 1 of this thread.

Thank you everybody for the help. I wiped my phone and I didn't install the back up now I've installed Google play store and all the other apps and everything is working well . Thanks guys
