Mind giving me a quick "how-to-patch" for Google Maps?

Follow all the instructions in the first post to get Google Play Services up and running.

Then use Play Services Patcher on your PC to patch the GMaps app. Then install the newly patched app.

Thanks but I don't have the app files on my PC. Everything is on my BB. Don't you hate newbies.

UPDATE: By Jove, I think I got it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

please someone help me .The Google account manager has refused to install. I have tries installing the old one and the new one you released but I keep getting the same message. I'm on 10.3.2 and I'm using a blackberry z10 stl100-2. Please help I really want Google play store

Just patch it. If you have the patched google play services it works great.

Always use Cobalt's pre-patched Play Store. You patch the apks' that you download from the Play Store using Cobalt's Play Service Patcher. Read the first post on the patching thread here: http://forums.crackberry.com/android...rvices-914930/

I did that and I can log in to Uber but it crashes ("Unfortunately, Uber has stopped"). My other patches for Google Maps and Flight Aware solved all related issues with those apps (other than not being able to log in to google maps) so I know I'm doing it right. Was there something else that needs to be patched before Uber could operate and if so what is that apk file name?

You might want to Whitelist the unpatched Uber apk, then install the patched apk. Make sure you patch with Cobalt's Play Service Patcher, not Lucky Patcher.

Security wipe your device and don't restore the runtime or you'll just bring the problem right back.

Absolutely agree. If you're going to wipe, may as well autoload. Or don't cry when it's stuck at 99% 2 days later.

Yes. Though still don't do a restore. If you're going to go so far as to wipe and autoload, you might as well upgrade to the newest OS and start it clean.

There is no better way to install an OS than to use an autoloader. It's just that some people don't like the work involved in setting up a phone from scratch. For me, as I have everything in the cloud, I can be up and running at full steam in under an hour.
