About the Google Account and BlackBerry Google ID apps.

Should I remove it first or can I overwrite from the previous to the newest version for replacing the both two apps?

So here is the new solution, that hopefully will be the new standard for logging in / checking in.

    Google Account app 4.3.3 (updated)
    http://homepage.bluewin.ch/simonsmit...3.3-cobalt.apk

    Blackberry Google ID 2.4 (reworked)
    http://homepage.bluewin.ch/simonsmit...ogleid-2.4.apk

I did quite a lot of testing with this and it seems to be very stable, But of course software always works on the developers infrastructure :/

    What should work for you:
    * You should be able to login using Google Account manager without having to set the option "allow less secure apps" in your google web account settings
    * You should be able to login in Blackberry Google ID by just pressing register (credentials and auth token is fetched from Google Account Manager)

This should work with and without Google Play Services being installed.

    Feedback is very welcome.
I deleted old version and installed this new one.
    All work fine for me.

    Thanks

New Cobalt apps installed as instructed and work fine on my Passport SE.

Had to purge the Play Store data. Afterwards that app worked fine again as well.

No issues here. Worked right away.

I'm wondering if you should put up a warning in the first post, reminding people to re-whitelist after re-installing BlackBerry Google ID?

Today I tried updating a couple apps and got the "Unable to Update App" error. Things had been working flawlessly. Is there a potential reason this happened today? I am in the process of deleting and reinstalling everything.

    Thanks.

No difference. I uninstalled all of your files, redownloaded them all, installed in the correct order, cleared the cache and it's still the same error.

You can't update some apps that may have been downloaded from an other store ie Amazon. To fix the problem, uninstall the app that doesn't update and download it from Play Store.

Weird. You must be doing something wrong. That message only apears if Blackberry Google ID is not installed or if it is not checked in.

    Did you click 'Retry'?
I had the same message as post #4112 ('Check your connection and try again') when I opened Play Store after installing the beta versions of Google Account Manager and BlackBerry Google ID. Then I clicked Retry, and everything was back to normal and MyApps reappeared.

In my case I think that the reason is probably that I forgot to clear the cache.

If 4.4.4 is working. Any advantage of changing to 4.3.3 ?
Should I still install the reworked Google ID 2.4?

    Can you confirm Cobalt?

Account Manager 4.4.4 works, if you have Play Services installed (which I know you have). If you remove Play Services, a new login will no longer work in Google Account. That's why I suggest to go back to 4.3.3.
