Did you follow the setup procedure described in post 1 and install all 3 files?

    Hi Cobalt,

The Google Play Store is showing some (but not all) android apps that have been customized for BB10 and downloaded from BlackBerry World, like TeamViewer, Skype and Paypal. The main issue is that if you update you lose the BB10 optimizations. Also you start getting notifications for updates from Google Play, you can of course turn off notifications but those are useful for the other android apps...

Is there any way to filter these apps from my apps list? I'm also wondering why only these show up, I have other android apps installed from BlackBerry World that do not show up like Our Groceries and Kobo...

    Thanks!

There is some apps that are Android ports you got from BlackBerry World that you really don't want to update with a version from Google. Like eBay. This thing is a horrible battery killer on a BB10 device.
I also tried Skype. I prefer the BlackBerry World version. The official Android version was killing battery as well. Notice, I'm talking about the apps being not open killing battery.
That may have changed with 10.3 now though.

    Anyone can help me here?
I just installed google play yesterday.following instruction and haven't any trouble until now.
I want to install this game.
I have played this game on bluestacks,no problem at all.
After I installed this game on my z10 the loading screen is stuck.
Anyone get idea for this problem?

Maybe the app is just not compatible with the Blackberry Android runtime.

Do you mean the "blackberry runtime" Link component which keeps track of a lot of the Android environment settings and some data (like clash of clans backup)? If so, I'm not sure installing the Android Runtime again will reset it.

    Cobalt,
I tried several things to fix my problem, but in the end the problem was the Google ID file was corrupt and after I downloaded it again it installed just fine. I now have Google Play Store installed on my Verizon Q10 with 10.3.1.2072 and I am able to purchase and install apps.
Also, I sent you a donation. Thanks for your work!!

Just in case nobody noticed: I updated Lucky Patcher in my other thread to the latest version 5.4.3. Go and grab it.

Thank you Cobalt. I'm up and running on a Z30 OS 10.3.1.2072. Much appreciated :-)

Do you think that that there will ever be a workaround to be able to sign into Google maps?

Oh, one more question. Do the instructions for having starred places in Google Maps apply to a patched version or unpatched. I patched mine before installing. Is that my problem?

Version 7.0.2 or lower will allow login. No patching required.

Thanks, that's good to know. So should I have patched the latest version of Google Maps that I installed last night? Or should I have left it alone?

If you patched it, and it works, great. It probably doesn't give you annoying notifications about Google play services like the unpatched version would. But generally, maps doesn't like to be patched .

Thank you. I appreciate your replying to me. I'm new to this hackery. :-)

One thing that I thought would happen once I got all of this up and running and Google maps installed, is to be able to click/tap on the map pic in Google and have it open in Google maps the way it does on my PC. As it is now, nothing happens.

    See snap below.

I hear ya on the whole invoking Google maps thing. If memory serves me correctly, that invocation is baked into one of the android system apps, and not directly in the maps app. So no luck on that at this point.

Click the link within your browser, which will invoke the mega app. Or just use the bitcasa links.

Yes, they would be linked to your Gmail account and not the generated device ID.
