Ok if you just need free apps.

If you want to buy apps or want to use the in-app purchase function of your app, the only solution is this Google Play store.

Beside that, I don't like all the adds popping up in those free stores. On the small screen of a Q10 this is extremely annoying.

Yes, uninstall all of your 3rd party apps (the virus scanners) AND do a reboot. Removing an app alone doesn't remove the cache files in the android runtime.

I've read about the package installation problem a few times now. Symptoms are, that after a download you either get a prompt where you must choose an action or it automatically chooses an (unwanted) action that causes the installation to fail. Only few suffered from this problem and it mostly could be solved by removing apps that try to catch package actions (i.e. virus scanners or even archiving tools, as an apk technically is a ZIP file).

I did some research on that and believe that it can be fixed by specifying the package installer class in the intent. I report if I have a working solution.

There was a small news combined with the announcement that Snap is being delayed. If you spread the word, it may at least become a sticky one day.

Not only did he do that, but he convinced me to get back with Blackberry as I could not stand android and ios software keyboards anymore.

Did you remove any of the 3 files after installation? They must remain on the device.

I did but when I see the files in file manager still there.what do you recon?should I reinstall again all of those file?

Yes. They must all be installed. There are dependencies between these files. If only one app is missing, it won't work anymore.

The dependencies are as follows:

If you remove Google Play store app, you obviously can't browse and download the apps anymore.
If you remove Google Account app, your Google system account is instantly removed from the device.
If you remove the Blackberry Google ID app, the gservices content provider is unregistered and the GSF ID is no longer available.

I'll update the first post with this information. I thought, that is was obvious.

Can you fix the html display problem? It's unreadable on cb10 app and is turn off every time I come to this thread and forget when I'm back on desktop. All your other posts appear properly that I've seen so far.

I know that reading the first post is a pain with the Blackberry version of the CB app. Please use the Android version of the CB app (!!!). It works much better and it displays the posts correctly, also the first one of this thread. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The latest version of Play Store allows for downloading of apps + obb

Just followed the instructions and went on smooth. Got the play store installed and working. Installed gmaps from the store and the device restarted. After that gmaps booted up normally and been up since then. Same with the case of Gdrive too.. works well.

Hard luck on youtube, it still does not seem to work.. need to research some more on this.

Buddy Cobalt (the Berry Genius) please list the apps that work just fine with these 3 apps on your reserved section. just a fyi for the newbies
