You did not follow the instructions and tried to login by opening the Google login app.

Looks like something is mixed up. Ok, let's clear it up:

    1. Go to https://accounts.google.com/Login?hl=en and do a login. This should clear up your account.
    2 .Uninstall all 3 apps
    3. Install Google Login. When installation completed, do not choose run. Press the back button.
    4. Install Google Play Store. When installation completed, do not choose run. Press back button.
    5. Install Blackberry Google ID. When installation completed, you can choose RUN, do a CheckIn, then close Blackberry Google ID.
    6. Run Google Play Store. It will then ask you to login with your google account. Enter email and password and press next until login is complete

    Good luck.

    1st post.

    Outstanding work Cobalt232

    Blackberry Passport.
With GAFYD account, 2 factor authentication, no hiccups. Some app specific passwords, some from Authenticator app on my master Android handset entered via web interface dialogue.
I had your previous Google Login and Blackberry Google ID already installed and registered.
Simply installed your Play Store, works perfectly with previously purchased apps, with the SERVICES caveat.

Great work again, thanks so much.

I also had problems with Youtube when I done this installation. It automatically updated my Youtube to the latest version that didn't work. I had previously installed a patched version. Just delete the app and re-install an older version or if you want ill pm you a link to my patched version.

Thanks, that was the problem alright. I installed the YouTube apk from Cobalts other thread, will make sure it works with Chromecast when I get home.

Google login must always be invoked by an other app. Either by opening Play Store or by adding a 3rd Party Google account in BlackBerry Settings.

Maybe you should remove all 3 components, reboot and reinstall the 3 files. Be sure not to run the Google login app after installation. Follow the instructions in post 1.
Thanks Cobalt! I'll try that again. I'll uninstall, reboot and reinstall.

    Update:

Same results. I deleted all three apps. Rebooted. Reinstalled.

Next, I ran the play store (it crashed before the security prompt). Then I ran it again (it crashed after the security prompt).

    Any other thoughts?

He probably got the files from the link in the YouTube video. Fyi - those file in that tutorial are not updated I think. (i.e., two of the three files are the same, and the google play store is not updated to allow downloading of obb files)

No I got the like from the article. But all is solved now.

All my previously installed Android ports from BlackBerry World or apps purchased or obtained on Amazon App store and all apps obtained on Snap work fine for me after installing this.

Youtube works fine despite complaints I've read about people having issues.

    Thanks Cobalt.

    PS:

Anyone tried buying movies or music? How did it go?

Is music stored I Music folder or are we left having to search for it? Mainly asking for MOVIES because 7 digitals's music is cheaper ( at least the music i happened to be looking for today.

They are stored in a temporary folder and then removed after installation. This is the default behavior of Google Play store. I did not touch this part.

Unfortunately, I see that as a little bit of a problem Cobalt. We need access to the apk's so they can be properly patched, as you can probably attest to. Suggestions?

Thanks for all the great work you do. I guess I should use Snap for apps that you need patching.

Or just download them directly in GMAPS Patcher. The latest version has an integrated downloader to download apk files directly to your computer.
