I just tried to download spotify. After the download was complete, it just crashed and went back to the app page and I was suppose to download it again. Im using a 10.3 leak on Z30. So, you're not alone

Do you have "install apps from other sources" enabled in your settings?

    Thanks for reply!

Yes I did.I just downloaded on the second time. Probably some bug when processing the install on the first time. BTW, with the play store APKs are not downloaded and saved on the device?

    Thks

No, apks aren't saved on the device. This feature doesn't exist in android play store.

Out of curiosity... has anyone attempted an in-app purchase since installing this play store?

I believe it doesn't work. The receiver for in-app purchases is deactivated in AndroidManifest. If not done, the app will not install.

I've skimmed through most posts but did not see whether installing google play store can notify you if a new version of the app is available? Sorta like BlackBerry notification and by opening BlackBerry world you can update all apps?

Ah makes sense. On a side note, I just used an android port from BlackBerry world with in app purchasing to see what would happen. Worked flawlessly with BlackBerry world integration. It's seriously not that hard to release a proper android port in BlackBerry World, but devs seem to have a closed mind even to that.

Purchasing apps works, but in-app purchasing (more gold, upgrade to pro version etc) doesn't.

In fairness, not all apps on the officially sanctioned Amazon Appstore work on BB10, either. There's a reason for the disclaimer that BlackBerry stamps on every install screen.
BlackBerry need to remove that 'Amazon App Store' and focus more on the blackberry world store....

not sure why they added that because as you just said now... not all apps on amazon work under it so they should just remove that cr/\p and focus on their own store.

I'd be happy to help fund your efforts on our behalf. Would it be possible for you to provide the instructions in a less technical basis. I cannot understand them with the instructions mixed in with programing language.
    Thanks

Haven't we been down that road before? Blackberry World is for business apps and amazon is for consumer apps. So get used to the android market place which ever one, and their are many that works on BB10, being the go to stores for consumer apps.

Technically you only have three (Snap <=> Play Store)

If you have already installed Snap on your device you have to erase him from the device prior to set this applications?. I'll try everything but BlackBerry Google id still showing the unfortunately Google id stop working message.

    Had to uninstall.
Not ready for prime time, until there is a total Google Services solution, may never be.
    Issues:
    * Battery hog. Constantly trying to call google service apps. Because of this, I am constantly getting notifications from android apps that were previously fine such as Skype, my HP printer app, my Nikon camera wifi app, the Score etc. with "ACCOUNT INFO NEEDED". Any Android app that requires a data connection, (i.e., even WiFi) basically.
    * Several times today when I go to open my phone and enter password, a black screen named "Google App Store" is sitting there. Part of the battery issue in all likelihood as well.
I have heard lots of reasons why BB does not have Google Services, and I have heard that it is Google's fault and/ or it is Blackberry's fault. I've also heard BB doesn't want Google Services for security reasons.
I don't know the real answer.
But Kudos to Cobalt, it is folks like him that at least contribute to the BB renaissance. For now I'll have to live with Snap, not a bad compromise.

Unfortunately it stopped working for me it displays this message
"Unfortunately, Google Play has stopped". I didn't delete any of the apps. I tried un installing the 3 apps and re installing again but I can't make it work =(. Any suggestions? I'm on a Z30 10.2.1

Edit: now I don't know what I did, but it started working again! What?? Anyway now it works perfectly! Hope it stays that way!

Edit2: now is not working again =( any suggestions? (same problem I mentioned above)
