Mostly worked, the screen for apps and password was not the same, I could not choose app, didnt have that on the screen? But on the Google id app ( 1 of the DL) we did it generates a #. Then I went back to Google play store and it loaded,DL the app shomi, it installed but closes half way through opening it. Any thoughts? Thx

Well, the professional "reviewers" last major negative is basically negated- "The Passport is way behind in available apps."
Now they will just say that an "average" person is not going to bother sideloading the Google Play Store!

Thanks Cobalt, I got it right. I used the instructions step by step from the BlackBerry hub channel, got it right the first time, updated my apps working fine, now to get that Google Play thing out of the way, I've read about patches, does that fix it?

Now the question is - should I delete Snap? If this is the real deal google app store then snap is not necessary?

Why not keep both? They both have their pros/cons.

Ok let me explain again, in the instructions to go to browser and search apps and passwords, I am supposed to be able to choose app,but there is no search app tab on this page like in the video?. Now I can DL apps, but it says cannot open without Google play? Help.

Patching fixes certain things, but not all (most notably anything with g+ login like Google play games hasn't been resolved). I highly suggest reading cobalt's other threads (or at least the first post of each thread, then search within the threads for any specific apps you're curious about). Pretty much every question anyone could have possibly asked has been answered at least 3x in those threads.

That's my dilemma should I keep both because each has something that the other one doesn't have or I should delete snap because is nothing else then the same google app store but in a limited form?

I'm going to review the apps from the Google Play Store that do work well (like OneNote, Starbucks, MyFitnesspal, Nook, Twitch, Flyne, Flow, SeriesGuide, feedly, AudoDesk, Play Books, and so on) and explicitly say that it works well for the BlackBerry z10, maybe we can get the word out to the Devs and the general public that way so as to say that BlackBerry isn't dead just yet

*Chrome works too! (but not Chrome Beta*

I *think* he's referring to cobalt's official Google apps landing page which has play store downloader.

You can "share" to play store downloader from Google play store and download apks that way.

I'd suggest any of these apps available on amazon be reviewed there as well. At least that's an officially supported app store. Or maybe we don't want Google knowing that we've got a working play store

Like I mentioned, the new Google Play Store works like a dream for me on 10.2. However I cannot use the Playstore Downloader. That does not work for me. I wonder what the difference is.

If you drop me a logfile on the Landing page I could have a look into it. But let's not discuss it here, don't want to mix up the treads.
