I've downloaded all 3 apks.

And only the BlackBerry android ID app is updated.
Prior to this I installed ALL the apks in previous thread about getting the Play Store working.

Q1: is the one updated is OK enough? Or I need to delete and reinstall-new all apks from this thread?
Q2: do I need to delete the playstore downloader? Coz when I install an app from current build playstore app, it still opens the playstore downloader.

There was a version of Google Play Services that worked about two months ago, but there's been updates to it since then and that version doesn't work for many of the apps that need GPS now.

I'm trying to figure out what's involved with 'cracking' (for lack of a better term) a newer version of GApps, I'm just not finding any info on it.

I solved my issue in this way:

After having setted everything...as described in the first post, I opened BlackBerry Google ID icon, then "obtain Google ID", filled with my mail address and password, and then reopened Google Play Store. Now it works perfectly.

The one which involved the use of the Play Store Downloader. Tapping the download button on anything from the Play Store would basically trigger this other app to open and take over the download. After you installed a game that needed an obb file, it would actually go through as opposed to displaying the "Download failed because the resources could not be found" message.

I haven't tested this one yet so it might still work. I don't know.

PS: This is the case for a STL100-2 Z10 running 10.3.1.1154.

Can anything be done in regards to Google Play Services? I would like to gets Snapchat, Clash of Clan, many other android apps working on my Z30.

Also my wife has Samsung S3 and would like to move over to BlackBerry phone but doesn't want to lose her progress level on S3.

How can we get Google Services work on BlackBerry phones so I can get her progress level over to her BlackBerry?

Maps would work as a function of installing google login services. Has nothing to do with play store.

Well, he already sorta has . Check out his other threads for how to patch google play services in other apps. Keep in mind not every scenario is patchable (for example, g+ login is not supported), but there are plenty of applications (like ones that rely on play services for mapping services) that are easily patchable.

You can still use the old way by using the "share" option within play store, then choose play store downloader. It effectively does the same thing as the previous release from cobalt did.
