Saw this earlier and thought I'd share for those of us on 10.2.1.1055. The games include the following:

• Sonic The Hedgehog - Reg. $2.99
• Angry Birds Space (Ad-Free) - Reg. $0.99
• Angry Birds Space HD (Kindle Tablet Edition) - Reg. $2.99
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run - Reg $3.99
• Fruit Ninja - Reg. $0.99
• Hambo - Reg. $0.99
• Bloons TD 5 - Reg. $2.99
• Quell - Reg. $0.99
• OfficeSuite Professional 7 (not free, but on sale for $0.99) - Reg. $14.99

There are reports that the games don't work on certain Android devices, including many newer/popular models (S4, Nexus, G2), so I'm not sure if the same limitation exists for BB10 devices. I don't have the Amazon App Store installed on my phone (I prefer 1mobile) so I haven't tested this out myself, but if there's anyone willing to test it out on their device then have at it.

Also, allegedly you may not have to actually use the Amazon App Store app "buy" the apps, per the post/quote below (again, haven't tried this myself yet. Of course, you could likely just visit the links from your desktop with your Amazon account signed in and have the apps saved to your account for access later.):

On a mobile browser, just add &force-full-site=1 to the end of the url, and you can buy without downloading anything

EDIT:
So did a little investigating, and here are a few updates:

• The discount to free is indeed available in Canada, as I had a friend north of the border check for me. I don't know about outside of North America though.
• I went ahead and installed the Amazon App Store, and although I had "bought" all of the games via my desktop, only the apps that were "compatible" with the Android runtime on my Z10 showed up in the list of apps under the "My Apps" tab (so, no Sonic the Hedgehog, unfortunately).
• I tried to install Fruit Ninja, which installed fine, but when it ran the display was inverted (a known issue with a few Android apps run on .1055) and remained hung up on the splash screen. So, I'm not sure if these apps will work for everyone.

I just checked both with my Amazon account and using incognito mode to simulate a new/logged out account, and it's still showing as free. I would say that it could be a US-only offer, but I see that you're from NYC so I'm not sure that's the reason.

OP was right... those were all free for US customers. And yes, they can be "purchased" and saved to account without being downloaded from main Amazon site.

Thanks for testing the other apps. I had a similar experience with Fruit Ninja but didn't bother to check the other ones. Hopefully this works better for other users out there.

Close the game, turn on Rotation Lock, re-open the game and the orientation should be fixed.

Fruit Ninja - Crashes on splash screen

Took me a few tries but I launched it in the end. Re-opening had no crashes.
But game play was a little gimpy.
