Hey All,

For all you COC lovers out there, I opened up the game on my Z10 this morning, only to find that there was the obvious big update available... so my phone opened up Google Play Store (Cobalt) and only to find that the msg "This device is not supported" ok so that freaked me out.

The only work around that i have found so far is to download and install the APK manually. I have attached the link for the WORKING apk.

It was quite a relief to know it worked after the install.

EDIT: This may not be the case for all of you, if the update shows up then all is well, but if you run into my case then just either clear the Google Play Cache and make sure all the latest Cobalt Google Services are installed.

Just remove the cache in Play Store and then the app is shown as supported again.

and i tried clearing the Play Store cache, then reopened it and it still doesn't show COC as supported. I'm using the newest version that you have patched.

Are you using the latest Blackberry Google id 2.7. If no, remove old version and then install latest. Do not update!

Then:
Checkin device
Clear Play Store cache

Never hit the unregister button in Blackberry Google ID.

After this scare, its about time I link my google play account with my COC. Cobalt, do your instructions need updated after this latest update or are they still accurate?

Followed your instructions, I actually was on v2.6 but now on 2.7 ID... but still no sign of COC in my apps section of Google Play Store.

EDIT: Its now showing compatible though, showing that it's installed. but still not in the my apps section, will try a reboot.

Deleted Google Play Store Reinstalled and rebooted, now everything works great! Thanks Cobalt.

Glad I didn't have to jump through all the hoops, was ready to download for my Passport as soon as I booted up the play store

So 1) thank you for the Google play install method.
2) CoC unfortunately didn't show up as something I could download.
3) Downloaded the apk from the first poster (after downloading Mega download app) and boom bam bip it's all good!

Cobalt thanks for all the hard work you and your team have put in to get us blackberry users up to speed without having Jellybean so to speak. But I want to ask am i missing something. I tried the 3 step process on my girls z10 and wasn't able to sign in to google id on her clash. The i went to the landing page and downloaded everything on there and even got google patcher and i still can't get signed in to google plus on clash. I have been trying for the last 2 months to completely figure this out but my last step I accomplished was finding google patcher. Would be greatful for any help or direction. Rock on Blackberry, John Chen for president!!!!

To both of these comments:

You cannot connect to Google+ through Clash of Clans on a BlackBerry, it does not work and there is no method to do so. The ONLY thing you can do is get a compatible device that can connect to Google+ then email Supercell directly from the Clash of Clans app and tell them that you need to transfer your village from an older android device to the new android device (Tell them you can not connect to Google+ from this old but supported android device). They will ask you several questions that you need to answer but DO NOT tell them you are coming from a BlackBerry as its not officially supported. They should give you a code that will move your village to the new device then your progress is safegaurded forever!
