So im sure most of you saw the post on this website yesterday about the amazon games cloud storage coming in 10.3. I was wondering how I would go about syncing that data. I know this question comes very early, as 10.3 isnt out yet, but any answers including speculation is helpful.

Clash of Clans isn't available on the Amazon Appstore, so caching the data there is going to be impossible.

I use BlackBerry Link to save my game progress, it's been working since 10.2.1.3175 iirc. This may not be useful to you if you are locked down on an older perhaps official bb10 os.

So when you loaded .1052 did you use autoloader or via non-destructive method? If via autoloader, did you restore afterwards via bb link? Did you restore the apps, or just settings?

Just a heads up... I never had any trouble restoring my Clash data until I did the .1052 leak. I used the autoloader and restored my app data and now I no longer have my Clash game. Even tried downgrading and restoring... Nothing... I think somehow it may have been a link issue. Still not sure though

I spent about a full 2 days getting it to work, I actually created the first z30 autoloader for 1052 so I used that first. I assumed that a full backup would just work, and it didnt. I also tried the non-destructive upgrade with no luck either (later I found this would have just worked out of the box). I went back to a 10.2.1 build with backup where I knew had a working CoC game within and upgraded from there. In the end all of this turned out to be alot of wasted time.

The solution to get it working was actually really simple, and I laughed at myself for struggling for 2 days to get it working.
What I did when coming from an OS build with a working CoC via autoloader:

    1) Upgrade to the latest BB Link
    2) In Link: go to backup, choose custom, click configuration check "Include application executables"
    3) Check any important Application Data (to me it was only Clash of Clans) and ALSO Blackberry Runtime
    4) Check Media or Device settings as needed (for best performance results don't restore any of that)
    5) Perform backup
    6) Run Autoloader and complete setup
    7) In Link: Go to Restore, Custom Restore, next to Application Data hit "Show Details"
    8) Select (at the least) "Blackberry Runtime" and "Clash of Clans"
    9) Restore and profit

Alternate method is non-destructive through Sachesi, which wont mess with your games. If you're like me, it was too late when you jumped into the Autoloader blindly and didnt take the extra backup steps. Hopefully you have an old 10.2.1.x backup with a working CoC on it. The backup file isnt a measure of progress, but a username for the game server that will pull up whatever your current progress level is when you launch the game.

Youll be fine then if thats the case, if you can get onto an earlier OS that works you can use my method above.

I think we already discussed this in an earlier thread... Its been tried and it hasn't worked. Whatever happened with the Link backup, there's no clash data on it. And I'm not going back to a 2 month old backup

Whatever man, just trying to help. I like the game so I did what I needed to do to play it, which involved going back to 10.2.1 temporarily to get my proper backup then loading up 10.3.0.1130.

Sorry I forgot to ask, when you custom restore, did you also select the install application executables?

Good luck. I waited 2 weeks from contacting supercell to get my first response. Had a little back and forth. Now I'm waiting to hear from their "specialized" recovery team...

As a precaution I contacted Supercell to get a link code. Took me a week to get an initial response and then a week of back and forth emails but I finally got a link from their 'specialised recovery team' last night. I'm now running clash on my Q10 and via bluestacks on my PC (and yes the first thing I did was buy gems haha). Worth doing as a just in case.
