hi everybody,
my car2go app doesn't work. i tried to follow the guide about the google maps dependency removal but i'm not able to do it.

anyone could help me ? thanks a lot

The app seems to work without stripping the Google map dependencies, because the app Google map is automatically replaced with OpenStreetMap as it doesn't use V2 map dependencies.

Works both on my Q5 and Z10 without modifications.

What operating system are you on? My Q5 is on 10.2.1.2947 and my Z10 is running 10.3.0.140. Also works on Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.2947.

It could be it seems like you need a higher Android runtime, but have you tried to patch it with Colbalt tool?

I am using Mobility Map. Have installed Google Play Store and Settings. Runs flawlessly - give it a try...

Haven't tried patching it. Last time I tried to do it I just had a thread full of dead links and over 40 pages I think.
Anyway it's not that important. Maybe with the next runtime.

But the app still crashes if my location services are on.

Also, patch the Car2go app using 'Gmaps patcher' posted here How to patch Android Apps depending on Google Maps and Google Play Services.

Everything should work fine from there on.

Hi there, Dustmalik. I just turned my friend onto Google Play Services, and her Car2Go is now not working. Because of the set-up on my computer (needs an older java), I can't use the patcher. Any way you could post the patched apk?

The latest version does not work even when patched, for me anyway. Let me know if yours does. Otherwise, search the forum, I've posted a working patched version with rental from phone ability enabled

I just patched car2go 2.21.2 and it works as expected. Patched with Play Services Patcher 1.4

I know, I'm probably just too stupid, but I can't find the prepatched apk. And its been a pain to use car2go without the app, now that there are so many cars only accessible via the app... can you post the link again? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

It looks like you did not install the Google Framework files. Read this post and install the components, then it will work:

Hi. I just have a quick question for you. I have a new BlackBerry Classic running 10.3.2.2474.
I installed Google Account Manager, BlackBerry ID, Play Services, and Play Store.
Now I am attempting to install your patched "car2go app 2.21.2", but it keeps saying "app cannot be installed". I also tried to run the Android car2go app from the Play store, and although it opens now with the Play Services installed, it still says it won't work on my device and then crashes.
Am I missing a step here? I assume it's related to the map functionality, but am not sure. Thanks so much for your help. Unfortunately I have no tech background, and am unlikely to patch files on my own.
