Hello,

with 10.2.1.1055 i finally could load the BMW Remote APP. At the Login screen i need to write my login in name, but it only show me the numpad as keyboard. To put in my login in name i need the normal keyboard. Is there a fix for that? Or anyone have an idea what to make to get it worked. Copy and Paste i tried already.

Try a Bluetooth keyboard. Only suggestion I can think of. I know it's not ideal if you don't already have one. Maybe you can borrow one from a friend?

if the BMW remote app is an android sideload, you can try sideloading a keyboard. you need to access the android settings page to enable it.. either ghost commander or a launcher would do it.

I have a Q10, so the keyboard works for me- my issue is I keep receiving "No Internet Connection" after I press the log in button. Has anyone experienced something similar? I was so excited up until the lack of internet message! So close.

I've tried both Wifi and Cellular. Same response. I have closed it between network switches and also restarted the phone and did a hard reset between network switches. No dice. Has anyone gotten into the actual application to control their vehicle's lock, unlock, horn, etc? I don't think the Google Maps integration to send destinations or search for the vehicle will work unless you change coding. Can anyone confirm?

For me no way worked. Neither the bluetooth keyboard or the google keyboard. I find no way to get it worked. But it looks like a have an internet connection because when i try it with a wrong log in it show me that the login is incorrect.

I get this... The demo mode works for me though- with exception to the map section. The app crashes at that point. I always worry about if I locked my car or not since I am usually in a rush. I did get around the "send to car" feature by sideloading Send To Car and Google maps.

Have you tried swiping up from bottom bezel with two fingers? That gesture invokes the BB10 keyboard on touchscreen devices.

I downloaded another version- BMW Remote for Asia. It looks like that may be the version that you downloaded. It only allows for #s and a pin, while the US version (photo from my last post) allows for email and a pin.

I took a look at the APK coding and there is nothing that stands out. Even used a Google Maps adjusted apk from the Google services thread, same error. Maybe the next update to BMW Remote or next leaked10.2.1.xxx will fix the error. Do you know where we can find older US/German (same version, different language)BMW Remote APKs, I'd be curious to try those since they didn't work originally as converted bars, maybe they work as APKs.

It seems that the UK and German BMW remote and assist is highly supported since they offer a website and maybe a webapp, but US users can't log into the site with their assist credentials.

For US, the app is called "My BMW Remote ". I know it's an iPhone app, didn't knew that it was also available for android.

I'd be happy to have send to car work with Google maps, I see that there may be someone here that has got that to work, how could I also get that to work from google maps

So I made some progress
I installed version 7.4 of google maps and another app called "send to car". And within Google maps I have a choice of sending to my car

Tested and works fine...

Glad that is working for you- that is my send to car work around. Now if we could only use the remote features of BMW to lock and unlock, locate, etc. Its strange BMW doesn't support a BlackBerry app as BlackBerry is one of the only devices that fully functions for the messages sync...not to mention the fact that BMW's system is QNS. Maybe later.

Yes! Mine too now. I had this same version, but I was just automatically updated to an official OS newer than my current 10.2.1 leak.

I think I may have spoke too soon. Although the app allows me to find myself, it doesn't find my car and does not allow for the search feature so I could send an address.

Any luck on your side?
