It's like the latest hottest thing - everyone in my school is on it too. You could quite easily stalk some people with it if you wanted to.
It seems like more and more people are on it after it stopped working for me....

Wow. I honestly can't believe the number of people talking of swapping over to Android or iPhone over a silly time waster like Snapchat. Unreal! Well, followers will follow I guess. I guess that's why all the Leaders carry BlackBerrys.

It's not just about snapchat for me. Yes obviously snapchat is the biggest priority since its the one app I have the biggest problem with on bb10 but I also want the latest apps/updates and better hardware (hopefully). Simple

Snapchat is a big issue for me though. I want a phone that does what I want it to do, and currently, my phone does not do entirely what I want it to do. Apps have never been a strong point for BlackBerry, and unfortunately that is why I feel the need to move on to something else. BB have the best messaging and email devices hands down, but I want apps, not emails.

But... it can, the problem is with snapchat, not BlackBerry, and by moving to another platform you make it okay for a company that definitely has the resources to make another app, to not just not make one but actively block methods of getting it to work.. and that's not okay.

This is Chen, he's shown he delivers and I haven't seen him say something like this without having something in mind, last time it was amazon appstore which was a big win though not perfect solution, all I'm saying is see what it is this time before its difficult for you to come back if you wanted to..

Everyone think about this. On BlackBerry, if you don't want any app tracking you, or logging your locations, times etc, all you have to do is swipe down the drop menu at the top and turn off location services. On iPhone, you literally have to be a computer genius to figure out how to shut off the function that tracks your every move. Why, because they don't want people figuring out how to shut them out. Pretty much the same with Android, only not quite as hard to do. Ask yourself the question. Do you want a bunch of useless insecure apps, and be spied on constantly, or do you want the piece of mind in knowing that you can move around without being watched by God knows who, for who knows what purpose?

Sorry but if you think going into your settings to turn off location services (it's the same on BlackBerry if you don't have it set to quick settings btw) requires being a genius then I can't really view your opinion as valid.

If people can't figure out how to do it then they really shouldn't even have a smart phone, yet you're telling us we should be smart enough to just sell our phones if we want to be isheep.

Look for yourself. The process only takes a few steps regardless of what OS you're running.

That's a fair point about Snapchat, the developers are determined to be the biggest idiots (or worse) that they can be.
They could quite easily port their app over to BlackBerry but I don't see that happening any time soon. It's exactly the same with Windows Phone.

To make matters worse they block all methods of using the app under "security" measures. Blocking third-party apps is perfectly understandable, like in the case of Snap10/Snap2Chat, where the developer sent usernames via .txt files over the internet, and accessed several servers. Reading about that made me uninstall the app immediately. However blocking older versions of their own app to stop BlackBerry users under the same excuse of security is not right.

App works great for me actually. Can't complain it even has more features than snap10 and the developer isn't worried about snapchat coming at him. Gotta love this guy haha. I supported his ads and stickers feature and it worked rightaway and the stickers are a great addition Personally I'm still going to get myself an android
