Patched an app but it still shows Google play services required. What did I do wrong please?

You didn't provide any information to help you.

Just go to this thread, and read the first post carefully:

    For info:
The app is tinder. I used google play services patcher by cobalt.
What I did was patch straight....i didn't tick the "decompile resources " option.....I did the analysis and continued with the patch. It completed and I transferrd it to my phone. I still got same Google services needed. But someone in another thread said he patched it and it worked fine. I asked how but no reply yet!

Do you have Cobalt's Google Play Services stack installed on your device?

Well, all I can say is, if you do it all correctly, it works fine.

You haven't provided enough details to troubleshoot.

Thanks tho.....but are there some apps that I need to mark the decompile resources option before I patch?

No. Only if you want the patcher to set the min SDK version to 18 (needed if the app was developed for a higher OS version). But most likely such an app won't work anyway because it will try to call APIs that aren't available.
