Is it just me or is it frustrating anyone else that every single android app must have all access to the phone??

Air Miles wants to know when I am on the phone, what my BlackBerry ID is and my number??? Why?

Every damn program is hardwired to only work with full access.

    Am I missing something?

You can choose to deny any permissions you want to except that the app may not work.

You cannot choose to deny any permissions with downloaded APK files, even with Snap and other APK app stores. It is all or nothing.

I agree, it's absolutely ridiculous that they need ALL permissions to work... don't like it, will continue to deny!

When your apps don't work and you don't know why, please come back and read this post.

It looks to me that side loading apps gives you access to the permissions but not when installing the apk directly in BB.

All android apps are all very bit in with permissions. Regardless of the method of install.

Glad I'm not the only one catching this. We choose BlackBerry because of the security such as having the choice to deny or allow such access, and then give it all up for a few apps from Android; what a shame. I get the need to access the camera, files, etc when specifically using them for the purpose of the app, but with the new Snowden revelations, even that I am not so sure of.

No wonder there are so many apps for free; we are all paying with our identity when we use them.

I find that most all android apps are just advertising to me. I would pay to not be advertised to but there is probably less money in it for the developers. Google should pay you to use their services or at least give you the phones for free.
