Hello All,
I was looking for FB messenger apk which works on my Q10.
I found some older versions but when I try to install them it says that I have currenty a newer version and I should delete it first. I did that already by using playbook and uninstall it but this message still showing up.
Any idea about can I solve this problem? I tried to restart my phone too but still the same.

My bet is that you're running OS 10.3.2.2876 and have the ART error. Confirm that you're running that OS and only if you are then apply the fix: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...ntent/39879918
Once completed - restart your phone then give it a few minutes to settle.

Yes, I have this iOS 10.3.2.2836. I downloaded the runtime then restarted my phone but when I click to open it, it says "initializing, please wait" and remains like that!!
I tried to install the apk file of messenger anyways and gave me the same error message that I have a newer version.. any idea?

Did you give the phone some time to settle after the reboot? You have to be patient, let it organize.

Power cycle your device (simultaneously press the volume up/down tabs until the phone shuts down). When it reboots - just be patient lol Unless it's now corrupted it should straighten itself out.

I've never used FB but there's discussion about what may be the best FB apk to use going on in this forum.

Wait a minute... I just realized you said you have 10.3.2.2836?????? The fix was only to be applied to 2876 - I did mention that. If that's the case your runtime is likely corrupt and you'll have to reinstall it.

You still have to remove the previously installed version properly first. Use Ghost Commander from BBW.

Reboot after install... don't open it.

Thanks a lot mate.. it worked finally and i was able to uninstall the wrong version and now the messenger is working
