I searched but couldn't find a CB thread on watching Amazon videos on BB10 phones.

Is there a way to do it? I don't see the Amazon Video app in the Amazon App store on my BB10 phone.

    Thank you.

I see that it's not working. That doesn't mean that Amazon blocked it. That seems odd to me, unless there's a piracy risk, which there isn't. I wonder if it was a side effect of their latest Amazon Video and Amazon Underground app upgrades.

As a Prime subscriber, I'm not happy that my device isn't supported, but that's why I have a nexus tablet and iPad.

Well, it was blocked by Amazon.

When I had the first apk file. It worked for a few months. When Amazon changed it to instant prime, the new apk worked the first time I logged in.

Minutes later when I tried it again, it showed a messages saying bb10 phones are not allowed to use this app or something to that effect.

Careful... the Netflix boycott mostly backfired.

Can't blame Amazon for making a sound financial decision.

Why can't they port their android app to BlackBerry World? It won't cost them anything

Everything has a cost though. Heck, the service came to Android only relatively recently.

Like BlackBerry not putting BBM everywhere.

Another reason BB moved to Android. I am sure it works on Priv fine.

This morning, after receiving an email from Amazon Instant video, touting their catalog, and convenience, I went to the website, contact us, and emailed them, with pretty much the same bad review I had made months before, complaining about not being able to use the app.

They got back and said that they will forward to the Amazon video section in hopes for a fix.

    Let see what happens.

It will be great if more follow suit.

Those running 10.2 can watch Amazon Prime Videos. From within the Browser, go into Settings > Developer Tools > Desktop Mode. Once you turn that on, you can watch your Prime videos directly from the Amazon website.

For those with 10.3, the BlackBerry Browser no longer has Adobe Flash, so this method does not work. I installed the Zeus Browser from BlackBerry World. Well worth the $2.99, as it supports Adobe Flash 11.1. You will need to adjust the Zeus Browser in the same fashion as I described above. It uses the BlackBerry Browser UI, so all steps are the same.

If you issue is only Flash, you can patch the BlackBerry browser for that, too. But the notification led me to believe that it was a different issue. Does Amazon Prime not work on iPhone, either, since it lacks Flash, too?

Yes, I have heard of other users applying a patch, but have not attempted to do so myself (as I stumbled across my solution before discovering an alternative).

I had error messages pop up when using the Instant Video app, then when I upgraded to the Prime app, nothing would play. Obviously I was frustrated, as I had been able to stream for years.

I looked it up: apparently, Amazon does support streaming for iPhone. This is sadly ironic in light of the fact that the Amazon app is not designed to be easily deleted from BlackBerrys running 10.3.
