I am trying to delete an app from the amazon app store.

1- I have removed it from the phone app now only exists in the App store.
2- Entering the app store I scroll to "My Apps" then scroll to find the app I wish to delete.
3- Press and hold the app to get the message "Do you wish to unistall........." then press "Yes".
4- The screen goes black with a scrolling bar and a message saying "deleting App".
5- After a few seconds the amazon app closes. I go into the app store and the selected app is still there and active.

I have completed a factory reset but all that has managed to do is remove the amazon apps from the phone screen so now they are only accessible from the app store.

That is a second question, how do I get the apps back to the main phone screen so I dont have to go through the app store to access them? I have tried to delete the app to then re-install, but as you can see from my first question, thats not working either.

    Thank you in advance.

    Don't tell me - you're on OS2876 (sw2836)?

I had the exact same issue using just the Amazon App store however, I then used then app that says Amazon which is the Amazon Underground version so it has all Amazon and the Underground apps.

Using the Underground app it deleted the apps from "store" and device.

    Hope that helps.

You're not supposed to open it.

You're supposed to reboot your phone after installing. Don't touch your phone for at least 10 minutes after rebooting to let it set up properly.

Great that has indeed solved the problem. Unwanted apps deleted.

Now all I need to do is get the ones I do want out of the app store and onto my phone. Is deleting the app and re-installing the easiest way to do this?

    Yes. Delete and reinstall apps.
