Hello Everyone,

Like many of you, I have been trying to get Snapchat working on my BB.

Also like many of you, I have realized the old method of downloading v8 and updating to v9.4.2 does not work. This is because of a Google Play services issue. I used to have ~v8 working but it prompted me to update to a later version. i've tried many different versions and this is the route that works the best. I am not responsible if your account gets locked. It shouldn't.

Here is a temporary fix to get Snapchat on your BB:

Download v4.1.07 and install. Now open and log in with your account.

Next, download v9.3.1 and install. Accept the new T&S and click past the Play Services error.

You're all set now! Tested on my BB Passport.

Just tried on a q5, works perfect. Only thing I notice is old version has no lag vs new one.

Change your password and it will unlock your account.

I've noticed that no matter what version I download, once I am about to install snapchat, it always turns into version; 1.0.0.210. Any idea why this might be?

I wonder if you still have the newer version downloaded on your phone? Suggest you delete the downloads via file manager, reboot, then start again.

I got snapchat to work but when I take a picture it comes up Black nothing there. I can add text and that showed up but no picture

So it worked for me the first time. Then someone had to use my phone and I logged out. STUPIDEST MISTAKE EVER.

And now when I deleted everything and rebooted and tried to redo what the OP said, I'm getting his error.

Can someone help? :\
