I had a Storm 1 but then turned it back in because it was difficult to text with. It was about three days after I could bring it back. I had to use one of my families upgrades in order to upgrade (or downgrade I guess) to the 8330. Well now I have read about the new storm and how it is a lot easier to text and all the great new features. How can I upgrade to the storm 2? Or is it impossible in my case and I will have to wait it out?

Call VZW customer service and find out your upgrade dates. Some lines are eligible every year. All 3 of mine are. I have 2 lines upgrade eligible in January, but I had to call to find out.

Since you returned the phone, you should still be able to upgrade. They will just drop that upgrade date.

Doesn't sound like he returned it; he said it was 3 days after the return date.

If you still have the Storm, sell it now, pocket the cash, and buy the Storm 2 outright, or talk to CS and see how they can help you
