I currently have a OEM silicone skin, with a OEM Leather Holster and a screen protector. Works fine, but what I really want is an otterbox.

So your happy with the genuine blackberry skin? I saw the ottorbox but it looks almost too much protection like something over the buttons?

YEs, I am fine with the skin. There are three versions of the otterbox, with different stages of protection. But you cant go wrong with the OEM stuff.

I got an Otterbox Defender and I love it. I have big hands so having the large case around the BB made it better for me to grip it. The holster it comes with keeps it right where I want it, on my belt. I got mine for $30 from Amazon.

I have the case-mate hybrid which is a great case. It's a two-piece case (silicon skin and plastic backing) with a screen protector that has worked great. All of the buttons are covered and the earbud port and power ports are covered as well. It's a great thin case that still offers some serious protection and it looks pretty good.

    +1....

    Seriously,
I use nothing but innocases now from Seidio and love them.
Combined with Invisible shields the phone looks nice and is protected.
However, I bought them on clearance for my 8330.

    For a newer model:

    Screen: 15.00
    Skin: 25-40.00
    Holster: 30.00

    Adds up pretty quickly.

^yeh it does add up quickly. When I got my 8520 the cartoys person was tryin to sell me everything so I just took the screen protectors for like 15 bucks cuz was the cheapest. I don't use a case but do take good care of my bb. Its only been dropped once

Got too gung-** with cases now I have 3 I need to get rid of, lol.

Epik cases are good, Otterbox Impact and Commuter are good.

I hate my official blackberry silicone skin. It stretched out within a week. Ill be ordering an epik case coming from Hong Kong. I hear they don't stretch out.

I got the seidio case with the privacy screen protector. Got a free holster from sprint, and the skinned bb still fits.

I prefer using a silicone case. I don't like the hard case because it just doesn't protect the phone when you drop it, or something.

I highly recommend OB Defender, put one on my 9700 and loved it ever since.

I had a privacy protector, but I took it off and saw the TRUE BB 8530 screen and it was so clean, crisp and as if I had just purchased it!
    So I threw it away.
Probably going to buy a 'Barely There' case.
