I have a curve 8520. Is there any way to watch movies or TV on my device?
I can get YouTube to play, but not well. I get "Buffering" every few minutes.

Do you watch the videos over wlan? The 8520 has just EDGE and can't transmit videos without wlan.

I would bet there is some kind of DVD ripper or video converter for this particular model. I have the BB 8100 pearl and watch movies on it all the time with no issues. I use blackberry video converter for this particular model haven't really look to see if they have it for the 8520. I know that you can buy a DVD video ripper software for the 8520 just not sure how well it works. Just google it I am sure you will find something for it.

If you download movies you can just get like a free avi to mp4 converter and you're sorted.

Yep - converting them to .mp4 would be your best bet. You could try streaming videos you have installed on your PC using Orb. If you have a TV tuner card on your PC then you should be able to stream TV too..
