Nothing really. It's just a background. However, theme makers generally select backgrounds that compliment or are specially made for their themes. You can still set your own WP, but it may conflict with theme colors and such.

What are you asking here. On some themes you can change the wallpaper, some you cannot, though rare today.... For the most part on any theme you can change the background....

i usually change the background that comes with the theme, there's no real difference. although when you lock the phone, on a lot of themes, the background when you lock it is the original theme background that came with it...

Wallpaper is generally just that, a picture or background on the screen. Themes usually have icons that are placed in certain places or look a certain way. I have the Storm Replica theme, so while my icons look a certain way; it is customizable so that I can move them around the way I want them and make folders and such. Some themes do not allow movement of icons or the ability to change what they look like.

I hope that is a good explanation and I didn't just confuse you more

PS: You can try some of the themes that came on your phone and see the different ways they look or check out the Crackberry Store and look at wallpapers and themes.
