Ok, so PB on order,,,,,,,, naturally I am trying to find a wallpaper I like. From what I read, the size is 1024x1024, this just doesn't seem right, especially when it looks like ipad walpaper is 1024x1024, can anyone enlighten me?

The screen resolution is 1024x600, but you need to use 1024x1024 so that it will fit properly. It does an odd resizing when a pic is set as the BG. This thread might explain it better :

yea just check out my thread on all the wallpapers I have made, its a PITA how the playbook resizes them cuzz when I make them in 1024x600 it still resized it to an odd size and then I started making them in 1024x1024 and still the odd resizing! friggin annoying! and frustrating

yes playbook wallpapers are 1024 x 1024 because of the diffrences in orentation, i usually just search ipad wallpapers theres a lot larger selection

Hey beman, how can I download your wallpaper to fit my PB? All help is greatly appreciated.

just click on the little bar on top which will make the pic bigger/full size and after which U right click and choose "save as" and it wil lsave to your "my picture" folder...or if u browse with your PB just do the same thing as I described and hold down on the pic and then a menu will pop up and choose save image...thats it easy peasy

why PB doesn't resize wallpapers which comes as standard with device? while enlarging everything else? is somekind exif data or else can copied to wallpaper to stop it from being resized?

thats a good observation, I wonder if I start placing it in the same folder if the PB will stop resizing all the wallpapers, and CAN place them in there
